No pictures this time :-) (I know. Aren't you all shocked?)
I've been thinking a lot lately, well, about several things, but mostly about my personal relationship with God and how, in spite of my shortcomings and depravity, He continues to bless my socks off. I don't need to come up with a laundry list off the ways He has blessed me in the last few months (although, I might do that in another post....), but what continues to astound me is the fact that He wants to bless me. I'm certainly not worthy or deserving of any of it; but that's the beauty of it, isn't it? I have become convinced over the last few weeks that God has been pouring blessings onto my life to get my attention. I have felt recently that I fall short in so many areas in my walk with the Lord and there have been moments where I saw myself as an total failure, forgetting that that's not how He sees me! I am a work in progress. I am broken, but not beyond repair. I am imperfect, but He is perfecting me day by day.
Okay, God. You asked for my attention and now You've got it. Help me to change and become the woman of God that You created me to be, because I can't do it on my own!
Simple yet honest reflections of what God has been teaching me through time in His Word and prayer

Women's Coffeehouse 2009
Every year, our church holds a Women's Coffeehouse. It's a time for all the women in the church, from all congregations and walks of life, to gather together in fellowship, to encourage one another, and to hear how the Lord has been working in the lives of a few different women over the past few years. When we first started the coffeehouse it was with just a small group of maybe 30 of us. We outgrew the original part of our building and since the addition wasn't finished yet, we held the event at off-site locations. Last year was the first time in 2 or 3 years that we were finally able to meet back at the main church. Last night saw the 2nd coffeehouse in the building addition and as usual, we were bursting at the seams. It was so encouraging to be with all of my sisters, albeit emotionally challenging at times as well!

Trying my hand at some artistic shots...no flash=a lot of blurred photos, but I think I got a few good ones.

Shaly was the host for the evening. As always, she did an amazing job!

Trying to get some crowd shots...

We were blessed to listen to some amazing special music. These ladies were wonderful!

Shannon Erickson sharing her story of trials and victory

Sue Nelson shares about how a new-found faith in God turned the lives of both her and her husband completely upside down

I'm not really sure what was happening here, but it looked really entertaining from where I was standing :-)

Mid-program raffle

Jill Cornell shares with us the pain of infertility and the joy of adopting twin baby girls, Nora and Lily. I'm fairly certain there was not a dry eye in the house at this point!

Liz shares how God has helped her let go of her control and put it all in His hands

"Carried to the Table," by Leeland. Once again, the women who blessed us with their musical talents were absolutely amazing.
